Faculty Services Guide: Technology Services

A guide to services provided to the University of Richmond Law School faculty by the Muse Law Library and by other entities within the Law School.

Technology Services

The Technology Services team is located in the Law Library.  Not only does the team provide technology services to students who visit the computer help desk, they also manage the computers and multimedia in the classrooms, assist with all computing needs in offices, train all users on software and services including Microsoft Office, Box, Blackboard, etc., as well as keep the actual equipment up and running.  Below is a short list of services they offer. Any member of the team is happy to help with any questions.

Please do not hesitate to call Multimedia Services from the classroom phone if you encounter technical difficulty with classroom tech during class.  There is no need to struggle with technology issues that have simple solutions when help is just a phone call away.

Carl is available for multimedia consultations and training if you'd like to try something new in your classroom; the best course of action is to schedule a consultation prior to the first use of the technology to work through it step by step with Carl before you use it in your classroom.  However, if you don't have time to meet with him before class time, let him know when and where you'll be using the new technology so he can be there the first time you use it in case you need help.

Finally, when requesting a class recording, please let Carl know the location and date as well as the start AND end time of the class in advance.
