Chief Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court

Justice Henry Lee Carrico was among the longest serving Justices on the Virginia Supreme Court. His papers, which were donated to the Richmond School of Law Library after his death in 2013, contain personal and professional correspondence and memorabilia spanning the entire length of his career, from the 1950s through the 2000s. He was known for being the author of the Virginia Supreme Court's opinion in Loving v. Commonwealth and later as a proponent of teaching professionalism to lawyers.
